About The Faust Hotel
The Faust Hotel opened on South Seguin Avenue in New Braunfels on October 12, 1929, and was renamed in 1936 for Walter Faust Sr., who led the project to build it.
It carries a Texas Historic Landmark plaque and a National Register listing, both dedicated in 1985, and was known during the Second World War as the honeymoon capital of Texas.
Alongside its guest rooms the hotel runs a Texas brasserie called Wilhelm & Werner, an invitation-only speakeasy, and a restored ballroom for weddings and private dining.
